Naturalization Mountains
of Switzerland

The self-initiated research work with journalistic focus visualizes a cantonal comparison of Swiss naturalization in 2015. Each canton is represented with a triangle and shows indicators for their naturalization metrics. The size of the mountain is defined by the size of the canton's population. Each mountain shows a comparison between the percentage of foreign residents to the population of Swiss citizens. One dot represents 100 naturalizations and the number between the dots and the mountain indicates the naturalizations per 1000 foreigners in the beginning of the year. With naturalization being the goal, it is arguably the most imporant number since it indicates how many people are being naturalized in comparison to the amount of foreigners living in the canont.
